Get one!

Fitted today along with my upgraded dog-bone mount and de-cat and the handling is superb!

Best way I can describe it is the back end is a lot more forgiving/precise/awesome.

Just a thread to basically say, if your in two minds about investing £150 in your Clio - Go for it. Best money I have spent so far, and I have spent quiet a bit!

Luke :)

Heard good things about this, does changing the stiffness make much difference? I'd recommend getting the "Group N" engine and gearbox mounts as they also make a big difference.

Whats the benefit from this If you already have adjustable dampers on the rear?

Possibly not worth it if its doing essentially the same job

Although my dampers aren't adjustable, Gray's KWv2's are, and he has also noticed a difference and rates it.

Don't ask me how it works, haven't a clue. I was thinking to my self, wtf is this flimsy bit of metal with two two eyes attached going to do. Glad I invested though!

I'm not saying rush out and buy one, but if you have money to spend on the car this would be where I would put it.

I've got an OMP rear strut brace on mine and Powerflex dogbone bush on the gearbox mounting. The bush does stop the exhaust whacking the floor when driven really hard but still need to upgrade the rest of the engine mountings.
The rear strut brace certainly stiffens the car up nicely and makes a noticeable difference to the handling.

I'm not sure you mean group N as I believe group N mounts actually cost thousands. Maybe just uprated?

Iv wanted one for the clio since i got it!

Damn you luke.

The way it works is it ties the body of the car to the rear beam in a further two places. this mean body roll is pretty much eliminated at the back. I keeps the centre of gravity more constant.

In theory it will be much easier to tripod now.

Does the rear end feel more stable at speed on 'not so twistes'? 'bendies's' i guess you could call them?

Iv never know one to be fitted to a car and the car not feel transformed :(

your on about something completely different. rear strut braces really make no difference at all imo. i bought one cheap from here just to prove that they dont, and it was no different at all.

the arb (anti roll bar) people are talking about mounts to the bottom of the rear shocks and fixes to the rear beam. (underneath the car)

How much are the whiteline ARB's? Do they bolt on to current holes or is drilling required?

Bolt on jobby. Bolts to the same place the rear suspension is attatched to. RRP is around 155 iirc.
