Firstly, i massive thanks to Mark for doing all the hard work today! Much appreciated!
I headed over to Middo's at 8am this morning so we could prep my car for FCS next weekend.
The car wasn't really that dirty, i just had a few bad areas of swirling that needed correction. I had clayed the car not too long ago, so the paint itself wasn't it bad shape. Mark washed it over and dried it with "ultrasupersoft" microfibres and i set about tackling the wheels.
Once that was done, Mark used a Meg's G220 machine on every panel... mainly the bonnet! :dapprove:
"I'll get the sandpaper out... i wet-sand now you know" :approve:
He then applied Final Finish, again by G220. Whilst he was doing this, I applied Victoria Yellow Wax to the whole car by hand, also Lime Prime was used on the front and rear bumpers and on all glass but the windscreen.
Then buffed it off. I used Mark's Poorboy's polish on the wheels to cut them back, then waxed them. The tyres were then blacked with Meguires High Gloss.
Only grabbed a few pictures locally, but they show the result well enough!
The result:
I'm amazed, to tell you the truth!
When i got home, i adjusted my backboxes to sit more in line, removed the RS sticker from the front and fully cleaned the entire interior, right down to removing the rear seats.
Roll on FCS.
