Few faults on my 2003 clio 172

Hi guys ive bought a 2003 model clio 172 69k on the clock and ive got a few problems if any 1 can help.
Ive got a strange engine noise when between 2000rpm to 3000rpm its like a deep whining noise coming from the back of the engine bay i think but its doin my head in. The other problem is if you giv it sum between 4000 rpm and 5000 rpm i get a bad vibration from the front wheels, i thought it was the driveshafts but ive had them checked and the garage sed they r fine and cud not find anything. If any 1 can help ill be very greatful

God knows about the strange noise. The vibration though, could be led to a mount. Check your tyre pressures ( front ). Check the actual tyres too. No flat spots etc etc. Jack the car up yourself and check the shafts yourself, maybe the mechanic has missed something not visable. Wriggle the shaft as it goes into the box.
