Fitting Clio cup racer cage

As above, who has done this before?
I'm having troubles fitting a genuine clio cup racer cage to my track clio. The rear part of
the cage just won't go in properly. I know it's a bit of a wiggle and a push, but I can't get it at an angle
to make it fit. The complete interior is removed including the windscreen.
What's the magic trick to make it fit without banging around the car or cage?

To pull the main hoop in a touch or do the same thing on the rear parts that go to the strut tops/areas. It might just be enough to allow it to fit without a fight.

Where is it catching btw? Or what's restricting it from going into the correct position?

The rear part is tilted forward in order to get the rear part inside the car. Once in the car the rear part should
be tilted back and moved backwards to the correct position in the car. However this won't work because the bars going to the rear wheel
arches won't fit between the B-pillars. Moving the cage more forward, so the top sticks out of the windscreen, makes it possible for the bars to
go between the B-pillars as the widest part of the car is just above the door catchers. However, in the cage can't be tilted back this way, because the top of the cage
will hit the roof at the top of the windscreen...

I'm sure I've heard someone say the cup racer cages went in through the windscreen. Never fitted that specific type myself though.

Could ratchet straps not pull the back stays in enough to miss the B pillar?

Some pictures. The cage will hit the B-pillar at the level of the red marking or the top of the cage will
hit the blue marking, just above the windscreen.

Ratchet strap in the position shown, on both sides? May pull the backstays down enough to get it in.

I have also heard the windscreen needs to come out but you have done that.

Take off your door seals and try and get one of the main hoop legs out the door to tilt it up, pretty sure racers didn't have the seat braces that go from the sill to exhaust tunnel.

I know with some cages you need to cut a small section of the floor out where the roll over loop goes, then once it's imposition weld the floor back in.

The cage is still not in the car, any more suggestions or members with expierence with these cages?
Haven't managed to reach M4D M4X yet.

Cut a hole in the floor where the main hoop feet go, your going to have to plate it anyway so get the cage in then slide plates under the feet and weld in place for the cage to be bolted to.

i have heard its just a windscreen out and ratchet strap job..

The people I've seen fit these have had to cut chunks out the floor and sill as they're too wide for the car

More hassle than it's worth in my opinion

Hi Daniel
have tx'd you also but as pics are on here i've also put it here.
For ease it's a 2man job you'll struggle on your own.

Ok so looking at the 1st pic properly (feet position) your almost there what you need to do is use a ratchet strap and pull the feet together towards the middle of the car (giving more room from the sill and remove the scarf), 2nd/3rd ratchet strap will need to go as mark123 as shown (1 either side) to pull the rear down.

Once all ratchet straps are on angle the rear arch plates end into the door pillar without the seals in place it should just about miss (if you've tightened the 2nd/3rd ratchet enough).
If it still hits what you then need to do is try and lift the front feet over the rear seat rail towards the front seat rail (to lower the rear and slide the cage in). Lifting the feet up 1st won't do it as the main hoop part will come further out of the windscreen as shown in your 2nd pic.

Mine was a lot easier as i removed my standard seat rails and welded Motorsport bars in.
