Flamer is dead

Just had a call from the garage after my Cambelt failure, it's bad. All 16 valves are bent, a rocker is broken, it's damaged the power steering pump, the dephaser needs done, the water pump etc etc etc. 2050 to get it fixed. Just not worth it due to the value of the car. Gutted to say the least.

Be much cheaper to source another engine and have the belts done on that for the future.

Cool, just whenever suits, got a plan!

Does it involve making one good car out of the two, selling the leftover bits and then effectively having a sorted & modded ph1 flamer that owes you nothing?

I bet it does... ;)

So just put your engine and numberplates onto yeecup's car? Good work.

Those ph2 sidestrips on there, i've touched those with my bare hands. Just you remember that... x

Well thats it paid for, paperwork done etc, picking it up on Sat and we'll start a project thread for it then. We now own 5 RenaultSports between us!

Thanks Jamie and good luck with finding a car that you and the boss agree on!

Sorry Dan, we'll be needing it, the silver one will possibly go but just been offered a 1.6 16v meg with fresh belt for £150, dunno if I can be bothered with the hassle of putting that engine into chav and selling as a 172 rep or not though.

  Lots of Alfas
It took me 5 years to find a mint matching flame red front bumper for mine, the original one had cracks everywhere. Still after a rear bumper.
