Flaps!

  "Navy" N17 TWO
Just been out at the car and found there are 2 flaps for the fresh air coming into the car, there was me thinking there was only 1, that you could see from above the pedals and behind the drivers scuttle panel. (going by the other thread)

Opened both flaps by hand (yerooo lol), after pressing a combination of buttons on the climate control (engine on and off) had no affect at all :S

Checked the fuses and all seems fine there

Where would one find the actuator/motor for these flaps, and how is it replaced?

Thanks in advance

There are flaps in the back panel behind back bumper for circulation. Im not sure what you want to achieve though.

There's one behind the blower (under the scuttle panel on drivers side)

When I press the recirculation button, it's supposed to close the "recirculation flaps" under the dash as to circulate the air in the car.
Then in turn when you switch the recirculation off it should open the flaps to allow fresh air into the car again from outside.

Mine aren't opening or closing when I want them to - have a mind of their own so I'm trying to find out how to replace the motors for them :)

Nope, 2 seperate flaps.
When I opened the flap under the scuttle panel and looked under the dash again you can just about see some daylight peering through

Anyone know how to change the motor?

Very disappointed with title, you shouldn't do that to an old man.

Was expecting Liver lapels everywhere.
