After some advice please. Car is caged with b14's etc. Ive read the michelin slicks are good, but are they only any good when its bone dry?. It may be a daft question but its not something ive ever looked into.

slicks are a different world. yes it has to be dry to get the heat into them before the start to grip propperly but do still work fine in the cold.
also on the plus side they are cheap.about 150 for a set of 4 on ebay. i normally get about 4 track days out of a set and you know how i drive.lol
not sure on the b14s but i just have standard shocks and apex springs.

Er yes i do know how you drive, mad man (in a good way). Ive been offered a set of michelins but just not sure really. Only other options to be safe etc are new 888's or new rsr's.

New R rated tyres will grip better than worn slicks from my experience, The big difference with slicks is the turn in and braking. Both are brutal

Heat cycles are important too, as are spring rates, damper settings yadda yadda.

I'd be buying Direzza's over part worn slicks and 888's.
