How can you tell/know it's an import?

they said my monaco was an import aswell but this one i got now is registered from wales surely that aint classed as an import, and surely if they take your details once you dont have to keep giving them your vin number everytime you want something, f00kin hate renault

i had it booked in today for a bonnet recall but im going to bell them up tommorow and see if they can do it over the phone.

Looks good, something for nothing, but know they'd kick-up a fuss about my rear tyres, maybe once i replace them i'll go and get it done! Need a Hi-Vis too, was out cycling last weekend and realised i was wearing all black clothing at dusk :-s

How can you tell/know it's an import?

No alarm, locking wheel nuts and window security etchings. My service book is also stamped by a foreign dealer on page 2.

I might be wrong about the stamp but I do know mine is an import.

Nah mine does sound like an import too mate, no window etchings, but it has an alarm fitted, but I assume it's aftermarket, Sigma jobby, and doesn't show up on insurance websites off the registration either.

I don't know what it is It was on a private plate when I bought it from the stealer's. I probably do have some record of it somewhere, but all my papers are in London at the moment.

I wouldn't bother anyways, Renault quoted me £1500 of work to get the car "right" ironically they missed some of the serious issues.
