Do these actually do anything?

Saw some of them today while i was in Costco. I cant remember what any of them are called, but you must know what i mean?

I have heard people say that they are good, mechanics say that you should never use them etc etc.

I wouldnt bother on a 1.2, but if you have a fast car, can they make them faster, personally cant see how it works?

Dunno, telford_mike, Roamer and myself spotted some "30bhp+" additive once. Think it was 30bhp+ or something equally as insane.. heh.

Think they just boost RON dont they? So people with highly tuned jap turbos for example, always use them.. as Super Unleaded etc.. aint good enough or something.

Forte stuff is supposed to be very good, a few of the garages around where i work use it as part of a service and charge about £20 for it

i picked a bottle up on Ebay for £4 but aint using it yet

the stuff in CostCo is probably STP Fuel Injector Treatment, as ive seen that in there before, very cheap !

depends if its jus a cleaner or an actual boost.......some are the same but marketed difrently

if its a cleaner usually its sposed to get id of all the carbon, giving a good clean area for fuel/air to flow thru, which is a good thing

if its an additive it usually bost fuel by a couple ron.....again which is a good thing...spesh for the jap imports as their fuel has a higher rating than ours

most of em apparently work........i dont use em all that often tbh
