2001 1.2 Clio Black.
Hey Guys
I have a 1.2 Clio MK3 with 114k Miles on the Clock , i got the car a year ago and ive only done 2,000 miles.
The cars been perfect up untill a few weeks back when the gearbox linkage bolt snapped in the gearbox , i had a mechanic take a look and he fixed it however he couldnt get a new linkage so he ended up drilling the bolt out , re-threading and a new bolt. A week later i picked up a new linkage and fitted it with ease and the gearstick movement was minimal , however now im back to square one and the gearstick seems to have a mind of its own , i can freely move it with a finger and it wobbles , when in 1st , 2nd gear the gearstick jolts up and down (and the engine which is most likely making the gearstick go AWOL) when i accelerate then remove my foot of the pedal? Any ideas? my only guess is the engine mounts? but it feels like im going to be getting a new linkage a few weeks down the line..
