Got my car cleaned today!

  Non Sport Megane
Right guys, got a friend valeter to clean the outside of my car today! £5! and tbh they do an amazing job
he said to me today, that he couldnt get a 'black' mark off my alloy? i had a quick look, and it almost looks like, paint?
this is the second time hes cleaned my car, and he couldnt get it off the 1st time either (obviously)
could it be something else? ie, the a HUGE chunk of paint thats flaked off my alloy? causing it too look black?
when he told me i had a little 'scratch' at it, and to me, it seems like it is sat on the alloys, as apposed to something thats come off of it?

any ideas what i could do to try and get this off??

regards

could be baked on brake dust or possibly tar deposits, there are plenty of wheel cleaners, iron de contaminants and tar removers mentioned in threads recently

best to get a pic up so we can have a look

Not doubting your mate's skills, but I'd have thought a valeter would know not to scratch at a mark and would know about de-tarring and potentially claying?

Fair enough. Still, give something like Tardis a go and maybe clay. Doesn't like Iron but Iron-X works wonders on cleaning up wheels.
