Grooves on discs

I've noticed that one of my standard discs has some little grooves in them, whereas the other one is smooth as mikey c's ass.

What causes this and do i need to get it sorted?

Usually a sign that the pads are needing replacing or some grit has got on them.... if they are deep then prob recommended to get the disc changed.
