:p
well picked up a fair few scratches when some egypt scraped down my wing in a car park :( indicator on the floor bad scratches and bad times!

Gave wet sanding a go and here are my results.

Method was...

Wet sanded pretty much the whole wing and any bits of the car with RDS:
1500 grit -> 2500 grit

Than cutting back the matt finish...

PB hexlogic pads:
Green- Sonus fast cut
White- Dodo Juice lime prime
Black- Pb Black whole

Hand applied purple haze on top of this.

Good effort mate! Id recommend you using 3000 grit after any wetsanding as you can sometimes still see scar marks and you also get a flatter, sharp finish. Not slating your work at all mate as we all have to try it once. The 2 scars on the back bumper that are left will need going over with 3000 grit to get rid of them completely ;). Lew

Cheers Lew, I thought I'd give it a go so will have to find some 3000 grit then! Is 3M the best stuff to get?

nice mate, just need decent tyres to make them decent pics!

Theres 3m, meguiars and one called nikken are the most widely used. The 3 have very little differences but i use nikken as i find that it stays wet for longer and a sheet of most grits lasts for ages.

Lol Yeah I know mate, said egypt as it's a bit of an in joke on another forum that I pasted this from, sorta like amphamasite on here... :)

Looks good lad. I was worried you'd gone through the paint on the rear bumper, but if it's just haze that's fine.

As Lew has suggested, 3000 grit might have been an idea to help combat the haze, but all in all very well.

Not sure I would be wet sanding a Clio as it has such soft paint, but good man for getting on with it and getting great results!

Cheers mate, going to have a go at getting the whole car sorted soon as I only did bits and bobs that were annoying me, not wet sanding it all though lol.

Will be doing my friends mk3 golf show car next week :)
