Handbrake cable snapped

Parked at a friends last night on a steep drive and was pulling the handbrake and heard and felt a snap and now the handbrake pulls up much further and now I was out reversing and heard a noise from the rear drivers wheel. Got out to see what it was and a cable was hitting the inside of the wheel, so iv tucked the cable into the rear shock so it doesn't foul, u can just see it at the bottom of the shock. So I assume I need an offside handbrake cable?

Funny my passenger side cable snapped clean off yesterday while doing a hill start as well, have read that its best to replace both cables when replacing them with genuine Renault parts.

Learn to put your car in gear No need for handbrake on hills technically.

Do the pair. They stretch as a pair, replacing one gives uneven operation
