Handbrake & handbrake light...

I have noticed on my clio... the handbrake light comes on, so i click the handbrake button and make sure it is down... drive abit further and the light comes on again etc... It doesnt seem that it is locking down and staying down... is the handbrake supposed to lock down on clios? as i have checked my mums car and it is nice and stiff, and doesnt come back up...

Any suggestions?

Check your brake fluid level as if its low the handbrake light will flicker on and off. It may not necessarily be your handbrake.

sounds like your brake pads might be low/need replaced..

when was the last time they were changed..?
