Hat's off to Dave Hemmings from Chips Away

Hi guys,

Recently scraped my 182's front bumper, Middo recomended me Dave Hemmings from Chipsaway so i gave the guy a bell, he gave me a price, we booked a date....He came today and what a great job hes done. Really pleased with his work and would recomend him to anyone in Staffordshire who needs paintwork repairing.

Hes a nice bloke and a car enthusiast as well Knew all about the 182, he currently owns a Focus RS and hes previously owned Elise's and 205 GTI's so we had plenty of car chat.

The white powder you can see on the after pic is just the residue left from the polish. Really is a great job hes done though. He also filled a few stone chips on the bonnet at the same time which looks a bit better

lol was £150 inc doing the stone chips, £140 for just the bumper. Was about £40 cheaper than my local body shop and i would say has done as good a job as they would have done

oooh much more than i thought! obvioulsy prices have gone up since i last used my local guy! Looks good though!

Yeah, i dont think he was the cheapest but i was more concerned about a good quality job as ive heard chipsaway franchises are VERY hit and miss.

Looks good - sounds expensive though, bodyshop should be less than that to paint the whole valance.

In fairness i did get my moneys worth in lube alone, he not only offered me a wide selection of lubes ranging from KY to vasoline to durex play but also allowed ample quantities to be applied. lol

i had a chips away guy do my wheel, very impressed with him, he had a nice TVR, knew about the clio's too.

not really, you prob could have got a terrible respray done by a crap bodyshop which is orange peely and badly colour matched. I know what i'd prefer!

did an awesome job on my girlfriends civic after someone twated it in a car park, cant see any sign of damage ever being there

Not really cost me £120 for a front bumper to be painted and the colour match was spot on, tbh I kept cost don be removing and refitting it myself, but it will be better than any local blow in.
