Hazard Lights - 172

Can anyone shed somelight on why my Hazard lights wont work. I have checked the fuse which looks fine and the indicators work fine but when I press the Hazard button I get nothing? Could it be all bulbs have gone?

it's prob the switch itself you can either get one from scrap yard or off eBay for around a fiver

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem in my 182. I have replaced the switch and still nothing. I get it lit up when the lights are on but there is no one home. Can anyone tell me what else might be the problem? Could it be the relay or a fuse?

I have just bought a phase 2 172 and I have exactly the same issue! Its a common fault, I have a friend who works for Renault. so when he gets round to fixing it for me I will post the solution on here.

I just replaced the switch itself, simple fix. Just pop the rectangle unit out and disconnect the old one. Slide in new switch and connect. Job done. About £8 from eBay.

I have replaced the switch but still nothing. Could it be the fuse for the UCH or the hazards themselves? Could it be wiring as the bloke i bought the car from had replace the stereo. Worst case scenario... How much is a new UCH? Can the one i have be repaired?

there is a seperate fuse for the hazards yes.

No you cant generally repair UCH's, you can buy a new one, buy a 2nd hand one with keys and ecu.

Could it be lose wiring? I have nothing coming from the relay?
