head units cant which one

i really am terible when it comes to ice i just dont have a clue!

i have a williams 2 and iv just uprated the limited speakers and wiring

which head unit should i buy? i have around 300 to spend.

Im considering either Alpine CDA9812RB or Pioneer DEHP77MP - both seem well recommended - good deals at caraudiodirect.co.uk - I think a number of Cliosport members have used them.

Im undecided on speakers - what have u gone for ?

i was origionally consering the new pioneer range (yellow ones) but in the williams there is only room for 4 4" ones unless you want to start cutting in to the rear shelf which i dont.

I went to base systems near where i live and they talked me out of the pioneer saying i should go for JBL as they consentrate soley in making speakers hence theres would be better so i went for them.

they sound good but the stereo powering them is old and does not provide a very clear sound.

as far as head units go im worried about the 4x60w as they require special instalation i think.?!.

Shouldnt require anything special to fit. Ive got an Alpine CDA-9812RR and ive had no problems with it in my clio.

but any alpine, pioneer unit around £300 is worthy of buying

ive got a 9812RR and i love it, its the black version of the silver/blue one, not as common but i think it looks better

the yellow pioneer speakers sound very good by the way for the money...
