Head units in MK 1 clio

Does any one know the best way to fit a head unit into a MK1 clio properly. Due to my one not fitting in right because of a metal strip behind the head unit.

the metal strip might be there to fasten the back of the headunit to, so it doesnt shake up and down whilst driving

When I fiited mine (Pioneer 3500MP) I found that the cables and ISO block got in the way of the metal strip. Just needed 4 pairs of hands to make sure the wires went down the side and didnt get in the way. Fits fine.

yeah its simple just gotta wiggle the wires round 2 fit
