help! problem !

  VW Lupo GTi
Right, i have a clio 1.2 16v dynamique and im having problembs with it starting, its turning over but theres no fire, and sometimes it wont even turn over. I have done a full service so i know its not the sparks , and cant see it being the alternator.

after ive been a little drive and turn off the ignition if i go back to it within 5 minutes it will not start, if i wait for like 15 mins it will eventually start.

any help appreciated! thanks

hard to say without seeing it, my guess would be the crank sensor/tdc sensor breaking down when hot. check the sensor loom aswell as these go brittle with age.

Could be tdc sensor which is located on top of the gearbox, held on with two 10mm bolts. You would need to replace the sensor and part of the loom. That said it wouldn't stop the engine from cranking, it could be that you have two common faults. The solonoid wire on the starter motor (front of engine on gearbox) can sometimes cause the non cranking issue, either replace the female connector or clean it up!
