Hi can anybody help?

I have just got a new 172, but it has an annoying rattle when decelarating. I have noticed this thing that is loose near the engine, and don't remember having one on my previous cliosport, there is also a button next to the gear stick which I also don't remember seeing before! Is this some kind of after market alarm? And if not can anybody help me to identify what it could be! Thanks Chris

I'd say yes it's an aftermarket alarm, don't quote me on that though, don't know what the 172 comes with as standard.

looks very similar to the OE alarm and looks like someone has bodged it in place with a self tapping screw into the bulkhead...nice!
