  peugeot 306
hi everyone,

i have been directed to this site from detailing world after asking for some advice about the clio 182. i'm interested in buy a 182 and have around £5,500 to spend, however, at the moment i have little knowledge on the car and be really gratefull if anyone could help me get to know more about the car. i understand that there is the normal 182 and also the cup version but i'm unsure what the differences is between the two. also i read about the full fat version, is this the normal 182 with the cup pack added? and also is there only i type of cup pack?

sorry for all the questions, i would be really grateful for any advice and information you guys have.

thanks

Gareth

Wecome,

There is 3 cup packs iirc you can have one two or all of them on a car it just depends, I would look at ones with all three
Good luck, what colour you thinking of? :)

Yep,

There is the bog standard 182 which can be identified by silver wheels

The cup pack comes in different stages (anthratic wheels-dark grey) they come with the cup spoiler, dark wheels, and some come with recaro seats only racing blue come with the comp stripe.

Then the cup has all of that standard plus its ligher i believe. (Inferno and Racing Blue only)

Then there is the trophy only available in red (trophy red) with a complete different set up skirts spoiler etc

Common faults are:

Steering wheel melts, exhaust silencer rusts on the inside (so rattles), engine mounts, cv joints leak.... mmm cant think of anything else.

As every one will tell you look out for cambelt service as this will cost you allot of £££££

Yeah there are plenty out there, if you ever need any help just pm me or ask on here.

If you do some searches on here before you buy one you should know more than the dealer/seller lol

Hello Gareth welcome to CS

I have a black/gold full fat 182, mine is in pretty much mint condition however there are still things to watch out for even with a good car, mine still has the original exhaust and it has been welded at some point by the previous owner to me so if you can get under and have a look then do it, check the weld joints between pipes and silencers, this is where it will break eventually, the other thing is to make sure all the electrics work, there are lots of them and fixes won't be cheap either.....
