How do I tell if the cambelt has been changed?

Is it possible to tell if the cambelt has been done just from looking at it? is there anything specific that I should look for to tell? thank you

Don't think you can to be honest. Fella I got mine offtold me he'd done it himself, I was convinced so popped along to birchdown who did it for me and said they were 98% sure it hadn't !

My advice would be- If in doupt, change it!

if its brand new take top engine mount off and have a look see if you can turn engine over by hand to read the writing

Going back to the original question, is there away you can tell by looking at the belt ? ie date stamp, pacific Renault markings etc ?

I wouldn't use a belt from the Pacific mate, it could have salt water damage :rasp:
