How Much to Have Eibachs Fitted??

  LY V6 with Recaros
Is this right, as it sounds quite alot to me - I've been quoted £280ish to have the Sportlines fitted. The price for the springs was £115, the rest is for them to be fitted, which will include tracking etc. How much should I be looking at for springs and fitting?

sounds about right yeh! especially with the tracking done too.

You could get Mark to do it when he does your service. Car will be up on the lifts no doubt anyway.

Or get one of us here to do it for you, then just take it to be tracked

Fitting - you can do yourself. Takes 45mins if you know what you are doing and a couple of hours if you don't.

Tracking = 20 to 25 quid.

115 is a good price for the springs though.

I wouldn't even like to try and fit them myself! I might just wait and get Mark Fish to do it, although getting someone to do it for me then getting it tracked after sounds like the cheaper option! Any offers??

I thought £115 was a pretty good price for the springs too, isn't that similar to the group buy price? Just didn't think the fitting of them would cost more than the springs themselves lol!

Yeah spring price is really good.

Put an ad up in the wanted section. Someone will deffo do it.

Ok, I'll remember you then if I decide to get them, thanks! :)

Are there any other options for lowering springs too if I decided I wanted something that would take it a bit lower than sportlines?

  Mountune Tractor
Take it down to Ren-tech and they will do it for £62.50 + vat.
Cheap as chips seeing as you know your getting a good job well done.

  RS Clio 200
oki doki.

Ren-Tech a good suggestion, but would cost debs around 50 quid to get there and back which leaves her right where the thread started lol.

Doing the back springs is easy as anything takes like 10-15 mins with the right tools.
From the sounds of fitment it looks like the price ive been quoted at £55 is a bloody good deal for fitment

It does! I think I remember reading that you or someone was quoted £55 in the group buy thread, which is why the amount I got quoted shocked me a bit, was expecting it to be the same price roughly!

Seems a lot of money to fit them to tbh.

I fitted mine and was fairly easy. And that was just with a jack and 2 stands.

I dont think Debs would be interested in fitting them herself as at times it requires a bit of brut force, especially without spring compressors.

Also, getting the strut nut off without an impact wrench can be interesting.

I would phone up a few more local garages and ask for quotes as im sure you could get it cheaper. Id charge 10% of that price lol

debs your in hornchurch, just go down to elite in rainham. I got quoted 180 fitted and they do a excellent job.

Got mine done for 30 quid by Ollie 1982 :approve: . Quite simple if you know how and have the right equipment

  BMW M3
Yeah, Id come round and fit them for you for peanuts but im a bit far away lol

Got all the right tools too lol

as seen as u work at a garage deb, gives one of the mechanics a back hander. if u were confident in doing this then do it yourself.

just fitted eibachs to my motor, took abt 2hrs to do front (i got the spring clamps on one of springs stuck for abt 1hr of that) and 30mins to do back, not bad for doing something for the first time.

hornchurch, me and a mate could knock it out for you pretty quickly as a private job, based in dagenham.
Dont know if you know them we work at church elm?

Whaaaaaaaaat?! Thats outrageous debs.

I paid £60 for fitting, and humphries/ kwik fit will check your tracking for free (doesnt need doing for around 3 weeks after spring fitting, as they need time to settle)

Upon checking, my tracking was still spot on, so didnt need to pay for it. Would have been £25 otherwise though.

Dont get the tracking done at same time as the springs though mate, which seems like what theyre trying to offer you.

I could get the garage at work to do it for me, but I'm always getting them to do stuff to my car, I feel a bit bad lol! Also, they fitted my exhaust and I'm not overly impressed with the fitting of it, I'm still waiting for them to adjust it as it's wonky and bangs on my bumper! But I guess just fitting the springs they'll be ok.
