I took the plate off, then prised the centre piece off slowly pulling the clips out separately.

Once the centre one is off the rest is easy!

Well the proper way to do it is to remove the bumper !

First off why are you using an exclamation mark?

Who are you shouting at? Or are you just that excited at your own post?

Second how do you know that the 'proper' way is to remove the bumper? Did you design the bumper, bumpstrips and clips? Or are you just asserting an assumption?

And finally what does it matter anyway? He asked how you can remove them and is trying to avoid removing the bumper. If he can remove them without damaging anything while the bumper is in place why shouldn't he?

Both ways are valid ways of removing them without damaging anything, but your way is longer. I know which one I would go for considering that time could be spent elsewhere

LOL. Sit down, shouty!

Having never done this job, i would always go for bumper off. It takes ten mins to whip the bumper off, so don't see why you'd risk breaking clips etc any other way.

Last time he uses exclamation marks round here lol

I'm not being shouty, I was saying it in a calm voice in my head while typing it lol

Just in a foul mood

Although I see your point mate about taking the bumper off the clips aren't that easy to brake

Hark at you , must have been a eaton chap and have a university degree . :rasp: fact that I work on the poorly designed French rubbish all day doesn't mean I now sod all about taking the bumper rub strips off , but I do know that if you want them to go back on ,not look crap & have all the fixing tabs broken off then easer to pop the bumper off ;)

*an *know *easier

Nope.

Did Biochemistry at Huddersfield but it has nothing to do with that. It is just basic grammar. ;)

Something that gets on my nerves every now and then....

But as said I do see your point mate, I apologise if I came across blunt.

OT: Op it is doable both ways, it is up to you which you feel most comfortable with, and if it is your first time doing it then take it nice and slow.
