I need an Amp and sub!

Ok then people, i have decided i will buy an amp and sub to go in my car now even tho i am saving for a new car, then i can just transfer it over when the new car comes.

I have got components up front and 6x9s in the shelf at the mo. So what i plan on doing is chucking out the 6x9s and getting a 4 channel amp to run the comps and sub. The comps and 6x9s will go with the car.

So what i need is some reccomendations on what sub and amp to go for i am pretty sure i want a 10" sub as i like a mixture of rock and dance music so its the best for both (i think).

i will probably spend about 200-300 note for both, so what makes should i go for and are there any bargains out there now worth going for?

if you get an amp that is 2 ohm stable when bridged, then this may suite you

I dont know much about ICE, whats the difference between 2 ohm and 4 ohm?? Which is best to get?

its about resistance of the speakers, the lower the resistance of the speaker the more power will be put out of the amp, if an amp if 4 ohm stable and you connect a 2 ohm sub, more power will be put out than the amp can handle, an the amp will over heat and die!!!

IMO the best 4 channel amp at mo in terms of value for money is one of the mac audio amps on special offeres here
