yep had my 182 at renault liverpool on friday so they could get 1 of there service guys to look at the breaks and other broken bits on the car...

for nearly a month now ive had this problem with my breaks, basically they all need replacing..pads and discs.

renault were saying that they wouldnt replace them as it was wear and tare and i could have been using the breaks really hard....lol.

but the argument was that it would be inpossible realy to get the breaks in this state in just 4kmiles...unless i was hitting the ring everyday

i wasnt having any of used cars bull s**t and started to threaten them with lawyers and so on.....

so on friday the service manager looked at the car and confirmed what arnold clarke warrington said and he couldnt se how the breaks could go that bad in just 4k.

so to cut a long story short, either wed or thur next week the car is going back to have all new discs and pads fitted...

well i havnt read the full report from renault.

basically all the front discs are broken up on the inside....nearly 88% ware on the front pads and 85% ware on the rear pads....like come on 85% on the rear pads...how is that possible in 4k.

oh and also needs a new driveshaft due to leaking cv boot...apparntly they cant just replace the boot...but this is warranty work anyway so i aint fused.

what i rekkon is that it was never serviced at 18k when i baught it.

You don't want they chnaging the boot alone even though they can plus no dealer mechain wants the job of fittng one its chaper to get a whole new shaft.
They should be serviced ever 12k though not 18k

I'd ask for compensating if they sold it to you knowing its been wrongly serviced after all Renault Uk might start asking for payment if you have any trouble when they will say correct servicing would have fixed the issue.

I wouldn't use that delaership, there good value to buy from but there service and warently work isn't as good as other garages IMO.
They are cheap for abasic service along with there sister dealership on the Wirral in Birkenhead but if you want to make sure they do more than just stamp the book go elsewhere IMO.

well when i first took the car one of the used sales managers got his serivce guy to look at the breaks....funny thing was he never evan got it on a ramp...

how the f**k can a full inspection be done on the bloody ground....tyhen he turned round and said they were fine....i felt like smacking the little s**t.
