Inlet Question - and other bits

I know the subject of inlets has been covered multiple times but I cant find a definitive answer and I'm bored of the search function having spent the last 20 fruitless minutes attempting to figure it out for myself.

basically I have a phase 1 172 (cable throttle) that I was going to remove the top inlet, fuel rail guard and top cam belt cover from to have powdercoated

the idea was to then swap the p/coated bits onto my 182 so the car doesn't have to be off the road when I do it.

I guess the fuel guard and top cam belt cover are identical so no issues there correct?

but the inlet seems to be a bit of a quest to figure out, can I bolt the phase 1 172 top inlet to my 182 bottom inlet and sort breathers no worries or will it require modification, and will the FBW throttle fit the 172 mani, straight bolt on? also theres an iscv on the 172 right, presume I can simply block that?

if it looks like too much botching/work, I was going to source another top inlet, which begs another question, are the phase 2 (FBW throttle) 172 top inlets identical to the 182 one so I can get either as a replacement?

cheers

afaik the top inlets from the ph1 are different to the ph2 and the 182 which are the same. i believe it would fit, but it requires mods to fit and is a ballache, so best to just source the correct one for your car.
