Installed new Head unit!

Got this at the weekend, the 2006 model with 4x54 outputs (aparently) and a front line in - plays Atrac, mp3, wma.. blah blah blah a bargain at only £89.99 including free fitting which was alegedly worth £34.99 but stuff that when I can do it myself.

Now, apart from sounding awesome, I have a small problem. My car was only fitted from factory with front speakers. If I want to fit rears, do I have to run cables? (I hope not)

I'm running new cables you are best to, if you look at after market cables and standard ones you'd realise why!

I'm sure you can use the standard cables though if you wished.

Hey dude is that easy enough to do? I assume (the case in the MK3 anyway) is that you have to take the speaker grills off in the rear. I don't fancy pulling all of the interior out like I have done in the past, although saying that I've gotta fit the sub + amp yet.

It was surprising how well those stock renault speakers work with a decent head unit! Ok it wasnt megabass but I have to admit they are damned clear sounding!

Yer should be straight forward, I hope lol. I assume it shouldn't be far different for your's.

You could always wire it up with the standard cables and see how it is; if you think it could be better then get better cable.

I know what you mean about a decent head unit improving it. Can't believe I've waited 18 months before getting a new one, lol

can't wait for my new pioneer to arrive. my current one is annoying the heck out of me, now all i need is the ipod to aux lead.
