Hello

Ive just got a quote of £1050 fo fully comp insurance on my Clio.
Im 20, with 1yrs no claims, the cheapest ive found...and guess what else...

Gee "How are you for mods?"

Nice Lady "We dont charge for mods Mr Wood, just take a photo and send it in"

Gee "What! Even inductions kits,lowering and sports zorst?"

Nice Lady "Thats right, we only charge for engine changes sir. Just keep your reciepts in case you ever have to claim"

RESULT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive got a renewal thru from liverpool vic - £1359 - 20 - 1 yrs ncb - kept on drive

thats on a 1.6 tho

Are you sure LV wont insure anyone under 25 on a 172/cup/182 (Ive tried) are you under somone else name as a named drivere?

Lv are excellent with mods so long as you dont change the cc of the engine there fine and even with bigger engines theres only (at present but is likely to change) a relitively small charge and no engineers reports to do.

I was only paying £720 for a VTR when I was 20 with 2 years ncb.

How things have changed.....

Sad really how much insurance costs young lads now! I paid £480 when I was 17 for a 1.3 Metro. A friend also only paid £500 for a 1.6 Cavalier. How things have changed!

That makes me feel really good about paying £1075 on a 172 at 21

Yeah but I wanna mod, Liverpool wont charge me for these.
If I had passed when I had my provisional (17) then I would have 4yrs no claims by now and maybe I would be driving a 182! But I dont. So for now, ill make do.
