Intercooling Question.

Hello.

as im about to venture into the world of forced induction i need some help with something.

am i right in thinking that if i change my intercooler for a bigger one i will get more power? is that it? do you have to do anything else?

I thought you only got more lag when you used a larger turbo, cause it took longer for it to spin up ? didnt know that a larger intercooler would cause lag ?

Theoretically yes, there is a larger area to pressurise, but you couldnt actually measure the difference.

Once you have a properly sized intercooler, you will not benefit from fitting a larger one. You will only need a bigger cooler if you increase your boost.

Remember, a 100% efficient intercooler will only cool the charge to the ambient air temperature.

or get a nos bottle with an intercooler spray and fill the bottle with c02 like they do in usa, then at the flick of a button u get a good cold charge, just stick a charge cooler on it,
