Right so unlock the car and open the car too quickly and the alarm goes nuts, how the f**k do i dis-arm the thing?

Its only happened twice or so but very irritating when so, i have to leave it for about a minute to turn its self off, whats going on>?

Also i beleive (hope) it standard!

if its the standard cobra alarm and you want it totally disconnected, take top dash off, under the air bag is the control box, just pull the connector block out.

failing that fix it ;)

Just don't open the door so quickly/soon. Theres a slight delay in unlocking the car and it telling the alarm to disarm.

My 1.6 did the same. It either let out one long beep, or like you say, goes nuts it you open the door or boot, it would make the noise usually right after unlocking after locking too quickly.

It's just a sensitive alarm and needs a sec between disabling and then opening a door. I always plipped it a few paces away in the end as I never really found it a problem as such to live with.

As above if thats the case it just takes some getting used to. Ive had this problem on all cars Ive had thats had an alarm.

Can you turn the noise off or do you have to wait till you have explained to everyone looking at you like your trying to explain that your not trying to steal it? Tiz a very minor issue just very irritating:eek:

I dont i was asking what the fix is?

Anyone, anyone atall
You must be otherwise it wouldn't be going off, theres no fix its just a charateristic of the alarm as its piggybacked of the standard remote central locking. Plip and a half second pause is more than enough for it.
