Is it possible to have an AfterMarket headunit and still be able to use it via the stalk on the steering column?

You buy it in 2 parts, one for the car type, and one for the stereo type, they link together to do the job

I have a Sony HU - my display says "Sony" normally, but also displays "Vol Up/Down" and "Seek +/-"

Oh, and I dunno about other makes but with Sony the HU must have the facility to use a wired remote cos that's where the adaptor plugs in
