Is my battery on the blink?

So, whenever the weather is cold and im finishing work (1am) the trip computer always reset's itself, but now today i go to the car after all the rain and cold, and the car started fine, but when i went to turn the steering wheel, there was no power steering, and the battery and 'STOP' light came on, until i released the steering wheel?

Any idea's whats causing this, as not too long back i had a health check at Renault and battery came back as V.Good condition?

Possibly the alternator is on it's way out.

Aux belt gone? Pure guess, but AFAIK it drives the PAS pump.

Would those not affect the car all the time, and not just when it's cold?? Never have any problems until it gets cold....

Now to make matters worse, the petrol light has came on, trip computer says I have ---- miles left, but the needle is showing just under quarter a tank....

Got me stressed to f**k!!!

yes defo new battery. had same problem a couple of years ago. ;-)

Does sound like battery, the little clock in centre of dash will be flashing or keep resetting itself. Check when you first get in on a morning.

You can get a good quality Bosch for circa £50
