itb cup and the min

Sorted the engine bay a bit today on the cup since having the ITB's fitted getting there now but the bulkhead and rocker cover are still a bit nasty.
Had the S out aswell so put a couple of pics of the old girl up.
Tried a diff way of uploading the pics soz if they are a bit s***

Yes mate they are the Ktec kit and Gen 90 Ecu. Cant fault the kit to be honest at the mo had them fitted just a week. Got a couple of lights on on the dash but been told a download will be winging its way to iron that out.
The car pulls a lot harder now esp after 60+ mph but still potters around nicely except the odd pop and bang!!
Oh and the noise :evil:

Its a 64 S was used for historics a while ago but not now.
S harris rebuilt it runnin a 1293 rally head, miglia cam all lightened etc quaife diff jack knight dog box etc
need to get a vid of the both on sometime soon

I'm weighing up a few options at the moment re which way to go with the engine; this being one of them, with it being a competitively priced solution

I'm assuming it's standard internals, etc? Did you get the power figure it made with the ITB's?

Given my time again I'd go with the AT kit.

I liked the look of the AT kit myself but my car was down there by the time i had a good look at it. The ktec kit is a tidy install it just looks right when you have a good look around it.
Im gonna sell all the little bits aswell that are no longer needed (rs tuner, matched inlets etc) to recoup a bit of the cost.
It made 196bhp which is pretty good as with all the other bits i had before like the inlets remap decat etc it struggled to get much over 180 granted diff rollers though. I cant remember the torque figure without digging it out but the torque is spread a lot better now and this is what you can really feel when you plant it through the box top of third is awesome now.

Good to hear! I suppose it's what expected from a set-up like that, but it's good to hear someone that's had it done confirming it/stating it!

Cheers matt got the susp and brakes to my liking now and was thinking of just leaving it looking fairly standard. The bodies were meant to be the final thing i was gonna do to it enjoy it for a year or so then sell it but seeing how it goes now im getting excited at the thought of cams now!!
Its a good choice as your not changing the engines make up so its really the same car to drive but when you poke it with the large stick it reacts a lot harder

Same with me mate, just got the suspension setup last week, and finally got the settings to how i like em, and ordered an RS2 manifold on friday, so looking forward to getting that i'll probably get the same idea as you, i'll fit the kit then think about getting cams lol :evil:

fairplay have to let us know i was tempted by the RS2 kit myself be interesting to hear more about it.
