Key Fob Battery and Locking Distance Questions

Where is best place to get a new battery from for the key? And this might be linked to my battery maybe dying but i have to be really close to the car for the central locking to work, is this what it is like for you people?

Any battery would do mate. Just slide the back off your key to find out what type it is.

A well used battery will definitely affect the distance your key will work from.

You'll need to check what type you have first as I believe there is 2 different types.


This should come in handy.

Then if a new battery doesn't work, hold the key to your head for increased range.

Mine's temperamental to how far and when it wants to work, surely you don't wont to be far from your car then unlock your car by mistake.

All swings & roundabouts. A new battery did sort mine out, I think, might be some placebo effect.
