lightweight battery

I want to make space for a new induction kit without need to move the battery into the boot, just setting both race battery and ecu nice and flat over the gearbox, pretty much like this one....

I don't drive it much, roughly once a week -sometimes it sits there for a couple of weeks- the odd motorway driving and track days, many in the future

I hate the ac so I do without it most of the times except when its brass monkey weather, a bit of radio, wipers when it rains LOL you know what I'm talking about etc
Do such batterys like RedTop or Odyssey have enough power for a normal road car?

If thats not recommended in any way for a day to day use -thats more the case of a week to week use- I'll be thinking of something else, maybe I'll just keep the normal one and chuck it in the boot.......

thanks!

I think I want my car to be locked at night. if that make sense :)
Had no idea it would drain so fast an need to be recharged.....i dont like that.

I was suprised at that too (it was re connected on a Fri eve then flat on sun morn when went to load for track day so two days really)...and I only have the immobiliser that would possibly drain the battery...everything else has been removed...

yes couple of guys said the same thing on another forum, rougly 2 days max before it needs recharging.
I think I'll stick with the stock one for now :)
thanks!

25 would be fine. (used to sort out group buys on them)

You dont want to buy a 30, lots of money, twice the price of the 25.

I can leave this on during the week and bob s my uncle

I'm definitely fitting the battery under the passenger seat

sorry not read any of the other responses,

but i had an odyssey battery in my fast road/track mk1,

i never found it to be any different from a usual battery, and never dropped charge over night!!
however i didnt used to use anything on just the ignition, only with the engine running where everything is running off the alternator anyways!!

bear in mind i didnt have AC or a lot of the gadgets that come on a mk2.

yes it looks like its fine on a proper gadjets free track car
In my case, getting a battery conditioner will save me if I get stuck in the traffic in winter :)
