Obviously we sell both kits, the first LP Turbo kits will start rolling out the door in the next week or so, people who have declared interest will be contacted of course, so perhaps it's a little too early for people to summarise opinions based on the number of conversions out there.
Both Steve's and my car are a very different drive to ITB'd cars, and on track I would have to agree N/A Cars do have an edge on driveability, but on the road it's a different story.
The soundtrack on the ITB's of course is alluring, but you have to live with it every step of the way and fuel costs to boot. Something worth considering before parting with your money in either case.
You can drive the LPT in a lazy everyday drive way without alerting other drivers to your presence, drive the car off boost to save fuel and pull past most similar spec vehicles using bottom end of the rev range, exit roundabouts in third flat, using the attributes of the turbo power delivery to its full potential. Over taking without the downshift and of course a completely OE look and sound at idle.
I am a fan of both set ups and also having driven the Supercharged GDi Demo in it's infancy that too has it's unique driving feel and of course the price. What ever you go for, it's important to have a choice and in this respect both kits are worth a test drive on the road, as this is where you will spend 95% of your time.
Sean.
