Lowering....problem

  200 Ultra Red
Been trying to find a swan neck spanner that will allow me to loosen the bolt holding the shock, its the bolt under the bonnet (basically the 1st step to lowering). Any ideas where I can get a decent spanner??

Got one from halfords but wasn't the right angle so it wouldn't grip the bolt. Then checked b&q and wickes and maxwells. But no joy! Anyone got any other hints or tips for loosening the bolt? p.s. got one side off no bother....

Yeah, I wouldnt waste my time with a spanner. You need the allen key as well and hold it inside while your doing it. An impact gun does it in seconds...bzzz. I got mine cheap as chips from machine mart.

Impact gun is the way. I use a DeWalt 18v gun. I am putting some Apex springs on my 172 cup tonight from K-Tec. Found that the Eibach springs I got direct from Eibach didn't actually lower the car which was what I was after!

I had the Eibach Sportline kit which didn't lower the car. The pro kit is a harsher ride than the sports! I have just fitted an Apex kit from K-Tec which lowered the car about an inch and it now sits about level, not nose up!

Did the old sportlines handle better than stock though? Oh and are you selling the sportlines now? Might be interested
