Lowering

  Clio 1.2 shed :)
Hey guys, still kinda new to modifying cars :) i have a 1.2 clio which is as high as a kite! Looking to lower it but unsure what kit would be best for it along with a good price haha. Also by how much? i dont want it looking too low but enough so is the handling is much better lol.
Thanks.

Eibach Sportlines are about £140. Or xmaxx coilovers for about £350 which are adjustable so you can change the height of the car between 30mm to 70mm i think.

Eibach sportlines lower by about 40mm i think

40 mm was what i was thinkin actually. Got any pics before and after mate? cant afford coilovers at the moment but could save pennies for the Sportlines :) thanks!

Also, if i do lower my car with springs will i need to get different shocks or will standared ones be sufficient? :) thanks again

Was thinking that, is there any links to shocks and springs to go 50mm please? :)
Thanks again.

best doing the shocks too. standard 1s will be rough
Standard shocks will be fine upto 40mm but don't use apex springs the ride is very very harsh, sportlines are your best option and they don't lower 40mm only go around 30mm max

if you want to go 50mm-60mm then a full suspension setup will be required shocks and springs also get the best you can afford as the cheaper setups give a harsh ride.

Thanks for the info, would you be able to post a link to decent ones, between 100 n 200 quid a think :) thanks

my 1.2 is lowered 60mm all round and the ride is so harsh its unreal so id suggest getting dampers aswell or even better coilovers .... im just waiting for funds to buy coilovers :)
