Measured 182 Cup weight loss

Right, everything from the rear of the car is now out and it wasn't long ago that I weighed it (with a full tank of fuel) to see just how fat it was. The scales used are specifically designed for lorries, not cars - so there is a 10kg +/- margin for error.

The results as the car left the factory were:
Front axle - 730kg
Rear axle - 390kg
Total weight - 1120kg

The results after everything had been taken out of the back were:
Front axle - 730kg
Rear axle - 360kg
Total weight - 1090kg

I must admit I was expecting more and am slightly dissapointed to find the weight loss is so small. Still, I'm hoping those Recaros weigh in at a fair few Kg's

Remember that the cup rear seats are a bit lighter than the FF version, no headrests etc.

Evo mag quote the 182 cup/trophy kerb weight as being 1090kg, assuming thats with not a lot of fuel in the tank!

There can't be much in it. The only difference between the two are the wheels, dampers and spoiler.

very shocked to be honest, Had my rear seat out the other day with the seat bar thingy in the boot......that thing weighs quite a bit.
get yourself up at 5 am and go for a 5 mile run everyday....that will shift another 10 - 15 kg in a few weeks lol

the 182 wheels weigh quite abit, as does all the carpet and sound proofing!

No spare wheel to take out which normally makes a big difference!

Seats and mountings weigh a chunk less, wheels weigh less (and lets face it, upsprung makes a big diff) also bit more soundproofing etc stripped out. Obv if you were one of the lucky ones to get the Recaro option, not such a delta, but the wheels are surprisingly lighter.

My full interior inclusing door cards and carpets was 65 kgs. The door cards came in at 9 kgs and the carpet was 12 kgs...leaving 44 kgs for the balance compared to your loss of 30kgs :S
