meganne problem, same as clio?

A friend of mine has a 54 plate meganne.
He is currently having problems with the alarm on it and cannot consult the handbook as its been lost.

He wants to lock the car and set the alarm but he is leaving the dog in the car, when he has been doing this the dogs movement inside the car has been triggering the alarm.

is there a way to turn off the internal sensor? and if so how please?

Hi Neil

To turn the sonic sensors off on the alarm

Make sure you have no pedals pressed and press the start button 5 times quickly.
Get out and lock the car as normal
The alarm should beep 4x and lights should flash twice.
Next time you use the alarm it they will be re activated!

Its not 5 times quickly its turning the ignition on and off twice just like the clio.

If it hasn't got keyless on it then put the card into the slot and press the start button without touching the pedals 4 times to turn the ignition on and off twice. Get out and lock the car and the ultrasonics will be deactivated, it'll beep to confirm this as said. If its got keyless then theres no need for the card to be in the slot.
