Titanium ph1 turbo
Righty,
I've got a minter 5 turbo which I keep garaged in the winter and drive in the summer. I'm the 2nd owner from new, the previous keeper was a lady in her 50's who owned it from new since 1989. She sold it as she had a shoulder problem and the doctors told her she needed a car with power steering.. She was sad to see it go to say the least.
It's got a full service stamped history, every receipt from new, and it's 100% original and standard, never been messed with. It's in what I would describe as perfect running order, certainly a rare example these days. The only downside is it has 143k on the clock, but it runs like a dream, certainly the full service history has helped keep it ticking.
I paid £1500 for it 2 years ago, i'm a bit short of cash because i'm not working right now. The question is should I sell it, or should I keep it.. I don't know what kind of value I would get back for it now, maybe just the same? I'm wondering if maybe as these cars become rarer and rarer in standard form it might increase in value in the next few years.. having said that, I'm also thinking that if I sell it, then I wont pick up another good example again and I might regret selling it....
The final dilemma I have is that having owned 2 other 5 turbos previously, these were tuned 5 turbos nearing 180-190bhp and were stupidly fun to drive, the 5 I have in standard form now isn't quite the same, but i'm scared to mod it in fear of screwing up such a good example... I think it would be a crime to bleed valve and dump valve it.
Just don't know what to do, any suggestions?
