mr clutch price, any good?

  BMW F31
firstly anbody any experience with mr clutch?

went and got a quote today fro £249.95 fully fitted, i know its a good price but i just want to hear peoples experience with them, have heard good and bad things etc, surely if they mess anything up they gotta fix it right?

just hoping it will sort the bite out once changed i.e be nice and low?

also the gearbox occasionally has trouble engaging first or second if im slowing etc, so hoping the change of gearbox oil it will need due to the clutch will help too?

A clutch kit is around £100, check GSF.

Depends where you live in the UK for labour charges

For many people today, the car is such an essential part of their life that when something goes wrong, it's almost as if a part of them has failed. To understand this is to understand why, when I started Mr Clutch, I was determined that when we repaired a customer's vehicle, there should be no compromise. My aim was to create customer trust and satisfaction through delivering a level of service that was, quite simply, unbeatable.

lol, nice

im not really sure how thay can f**k one up as its a simple bolt off, bolt on affair.. its the getting to it that they need to be careful with.. just make sure whoever does it doesn't breack any wiring clips and puts everything back as it was found..

look at it b4 and after and point out anything thats moved, twisted and bent (a classic when taking short cuts)

daves top tip - make him a few cups of tea to keep him happy.. (i take it mr clutch does house call work)

Don't go their, they maybe cheap but they are crap, had mine done by them on my 172, clutch fell to bits 3 weeks later, took it back and they replaced it free, now i have a squeeky clutch pedal when engine is hot. don't trust the parts they use. also they lost 1 bolt, they put some other clio plastic sump cover thing on, go elsewhere if i was you. i also noticed on my second visit, a big advert on the wall saying that they proudly re-furbish old clutches and use them, hop they didnt' do that s**t in my car

my 1.2 clutch was £60+ vat (got it for £40+vat with discount from renault parts guy)

one thing id recommend is a new clutch cable £30 or something and that made the clutch pedal so light it was unbeleiveable! and also got rid of the creaky squeek noise i had when pressing the clutch

are you ment to change the gearbox oil when you do a clutch? i didnt? well i have now that i have the new gearbox on it

if its not old you can put it back in as the plug catches all the swarf, but its good practice to change it as its only a tenner or so..
