Just thought id pop a few pics up before its fitted tomoz

I first contacted btb last week about the system, there wasnt any in stock but they were in the process of making another batch :D

So I arranged to buy a system and called them up on monday, gave my card details and my delivery details

I got a call yesterday to say the first system was ready for despatch and would be with me today

So this is how it arrived, I thought they'd sent me a BTB guitar tbh

it was very well packaged and took about 15 minutes to unpack :sleepy:

Im very pleased with the service I recieved and would recomend them as a company any day,

Ive got the car booked in at rs tuning on the 26th of march for some power runs, the car made 160 with just a de-cat and itg so hopefully will see somemore gains with this fitted

I will post some pics at the weekend of it fitted to a ph1 rear bumper and then with a ph2 :)

are you gonna polish it before it goes on???

get it sealed now before it starts to tinge brown.

  RS RIP
nice

Are you going to put a vid up some time of a nasty drive-by , high rpm ofcourse ? :)

My K-tec Stealth is still going strong after 5 years (!) but the silencer has become an amplifier ! This look like a nice job you got there to eventually replace my exhaust

franx, my ktec stealth lost its sound deadening, i then took the cat out, OMG it makes it 10 times louder, i have just finished replacing it with different box's inside and outside the car is alot quieter now

The mounting confuses me, looks like the hook is on the wrong side of the silencer... Need some fitted pics for my stupid brain.

Not heard anything about BTB Exhausts in ages, are they still available ?

I'd go for a Yozza Stealth personally.

I love the looks of these. If these were about when i was shopping for exhausts i would of had one in a heartbeat.

The 172 Stealth is a recent development and is held in stock all the time for rapid delivery - they were having many enquiries from people who had the standard Renault system rotting through at alarming intervals! Hence the need for an exhaust for the same price as Renault, same delivery as Renault, but with the quality, easy fitting and length of service that a BTB gives. The 182 system is only available through group buys on Cliosport.net - might be another one this summer.

that sounds about right. Bargain compared to my 182 one :) Joe makes great systems, workmanship is second to none. Great beefy noise and sound awersome on overrun :)

Hutchie, yes they go a brown ish colour, but no amount of polishing/sealing will stop that. Who looks under the car anyway ;)

I was going to buy a BTB system for my 182 but they are just such a pain to buy that i couldn't be bothered!
Most exhausts will discolour due to the heat so sealant wont help

yeh tell me about it! I swaped the cat/de-cat when the first MOT arrived and like you say a complete ba$tard.... taken it to a garage to do everytime since lol

What exhuast do you have on at the moment? would be good if you can report back on how it is when your done, sound/performance etc etc

To my supprise I found out today that you can fit a complete exhuast system, boxed, and a whole set of golf clubs in a clio!

its fitted and ive done around 20 miles, its louder than i thought it would be but sound for me is not an issue as i was running an orbisoud race sytem before this. It sounds awesome!! not overly loud just right and few little pops on over run helped by yozza de-cat. will try and get some videos later on

It settles down a fair amount, had mine on for about 1.5k now and it sounds lovely. Not to intrusive, but sounds mint when you open it up.

mine didn't fit!! the flange matting the decat flange seemed to be slanted and not square with the pipe, which lifted the front end of the centre section and lowered the rear end.

Anyone know if this flange is supposed to be slanted or square? Asking because my decat pipe is custom powerflow too.

Mine did this, then my uncle fixed it somehow, I don't know how and whether he will remember I don't know!!

I'll try and find out for you, but yes I had exactly the same problem, it just didn't fit together properly, and that was to a standard cat.

mine does looks slanted but not enough to cause a problem it fit perfect, but the de-cat also looks slanted to match it.

Maybe its your de-cat thats causing the problem?

what a palava!! not only did the flange cause a problem but the centre section was a good inch too long! I want to speak to BTB about it because it wasn't acceptable, the guy who modified/fitted it was disgusted with the fitment. He fitted the rear section in position, fitted live a glove. he then offered up the centre section and the centre hanger was well infront of the exhuast rubber mount, and it would have been impossible to mat the centre section flange with the decat flange - proof that this section of pipe was simply too long. Cost me £100 for fitting and all the cutting about, hoping BTB can contribute towards it??

there was some issue's with my centre exhaust mount/rubber as it too was out of position

Sorry I havent commented on this thread for a while, my car's engine died so Ive since moved onto a mini cooper s, too my delight BTB want £1000+ to do an exhaust on that :eek::eek:

Anyway once mine had carbon'd up, I have to say I noticed a lot better top end power, it used to do around 135 on my 'usual' stretch but after btb it seemed to have helped it over to 143 :rasp:, great exhaust, sound was amazing aswell

Agreed - great exhuast once fitted, sounds sweet (very 'racy', not boomy and deep) and the performance increase from the powerflow system is night and day, literally! I'd even go as far to say that it's now feels quicker and more drivable then pre-powerflow back box when i had the OEM rear box on. Its easily been the best mod in terms of power increase thats for sure - something I would have laughed at before this saga
