My 200 Exhaust, what causes this? Pics inside

Hi,

Cleaned my car yesterday, so I know this has happened within a day. Any idea what causes this sooty/gunk?

I know what comes out of an exhaust isnt exactly lovely, but after a day, is this normal? Just looked a bit OTT.

Its normal bud get some autosol polish on it and that should sort it out

Perfectly normal, get a metal sealant on there after giving it a clean, it'll stay cleaner for longer.

I use a scourer pad ryan when mine starts to go a bit dull, wonder wheels is good aswell for getting it off

Lol ill use a scourer on the inside off the tailpipe then wonder wheels on the outside with a cloth and some good old elbow grease...Works a treat

Just noticed you said you cleaned it, most likely water coming out of the exhaust!
