My Inferno Story...

For those who follow the thread you will know about the broken gearbox bolt I have had for a while. It’s causes a massive vibration through the car when I lift of the throttle after spirited driving.
Last night I went to my mechanic after hours to sort that issue along with an oil & filter change aswell as looking at a leaking washer bottle.

Oil was in to bad condition for a years use...

Next was onto the snapped bolt...View attachment 1385659

We drilled it using a left hand fluted bit hoping it would catch and undo but no luck. Had to go in with a easy out which we nearly gave up on as it was FT but we used a cheater bar and managed to get it out.

I’d sourced a of couple replacement bolts for that mount from people breaking 1*2s.
That was put in and a back up nut put on the backside just for extra security.

Not done a lot with the car since the sub install a while ago, mainly due to work reasons but yesterday saw the return of the tango Turinis with the winter tires. I’ve also removed the front 16mm spacers as I was getting serious scrub with these wheels before when I had them on.

2118s were removed, decontaminated with iron out, washed and rinsed and finally a coat of wheel sealer to protect.
Bonnet was up due to vibration of the engine on the sub frame so I’ve pulled it forward abit an this seems to have cleared the issue.

Not much else to report other than selling keeps coming to mind... I know I keep saying it but I think it is really time to move.

Sold the Turinis and speedlines making a fair wedge of cash so back rolling oem wheels.
Tbh I quite like them, once plate is off the car it will be listed anywhere and everywhere to get it sold so I can order the new toy...

4 is probably what i'd offer too, especially on those wheels. Should have kept it on turinis!
