My cars bhp

Apologies if this is the wrong section but i would just like to know where and when to get the car on a rolling road to get an idea of what bhp its giving out etc.

Im asking this as im unsure if its as fast as it "should" be. It feels quick to me but it was always going to coming from a 1.2. Any advice on what to do would be great.

We had a meet at Falkland Performance and I think most people got figures they wanted and those that didn't found the reason for it.

Theres a place not so far from glasgow airport that does it, AV tuning i cant honestly recommend them as ive only heard about them so ask the other lads from scotland.

We had a RR day there back in Feb, really good road and the guys who run it really know their stuff.

Every car bar 1 or 2 that ran on that particular day were pretty much spot on book figures...

People will always say RR's aren't accurate etc, with more than 3/4 of the cars running book figures or better you can't really argue with that.

yup falkland for me to, R/R day was good. i was in the same boat as you paul! me coming from a 1.6 gsi i didnt know if the 172 was up to scratch or not, turned out it wasnt, i ran 129.9 bhp :dapprove: turned out it was the cheap copy backbox that was on the car (fitted by previous owner), new exhaust and i travelled back down, ran 170.9 bhp:approve:

cant wait for another scottish R/R day

my 172 (with 182manifold and decat etc) doesent feel quick anymore. Felt it for a bit, coming from a valver, but not anymore.
Turbos are coming, but not for this engine. It has to be done

I was talking straight line speed just to compare power as per OP no driving abilities

no , i didnt drive another 182. didnt want to be seen as a time waster as this was the only LY i was wanting. none of my mates drive clios.

im not saying the car is slow at all. it is really quick and pulls through every gear. im really just wanting to know if its giving the power out that it should.
