need help on lowering a clio mk1 1.4 rt

Hi, Im after lowering my 1.4 clio rt mark 1, but Ive been told I cant lower it just by putting lowering springs on the front and back because of the torsion bar at the back. Is it possible to lower the torsion bar or do I not have to bother and can I just put lowering springs on the front and back?

Thanks

Springs and damper on front - replace springs with lowering springs to lower the front. Changing the dampers too will improve handling.

Rear uses damper and torsion bar - no spring. If you just want to lower it, you can just adjust the torsion bar. Handling, then change the damper too.

Yup, alot cheaper to lower, due to only having two springs to change.

A set of lowering springs costs £50 from k-tec, rest is just labour, whihc is free if you DIY

Thanks for the advice, just a few more questions. Is it easy to lower on the torsion bar? And how much should I lower it, its got 15 inch alloys on and I want it low, very low, Im not bothered about having people in the back so does lowering it 50 mm sound like a good idea.
