Holy s**t I love that green!!!!

I went out in another one on Monday, I'm scouring the classifieds now to get a taste of the prices. Quite fancy an elise for next year as a weekend toy.

Which are the best guides/forums etc for these things?

I honestly expected something a littl emore flamboyant than those seats in an R8. They look like they've just come straight from a written off Golf. No extendable thigh support either?

If you think those seats are bad you would hate the standard R8 ones , these are the £6000 option wing backs

I bet that exhaust add so much to the theatre of driving the car. Videos needed!

From the quick 2 min start I gave it tonight it’s loud with the valves open ,so should be fun out in the road.

Beast. Such awesome cars, these. Drove one on track when they were just a year or two old and loved it. Although the manual felt like hard work only having a few laps to get used to it lol.

It's a yes from me RE the carbon lip

I agree the manual open gate takes a bit of getting use to , but the R-tronic semi auto that was available on this age was really notchy. Would of loved the twin clutch S-tronic but they are all 60K+ as never came out until after the facelift

Sounds SO good!

I love a chequered garage floor, reminds me of Brum lol! Your old exige too ?

I love the flooring too but just sold that house :( , will probably do something similar to the new place once the garage is extended.

Have you had the engine decoked? Same engine as the rs4 right? I'm sure your aware of the carbon build up on the valves and other parts than can lead to loss of power etc?

Funny you should mention that as im in talks with a garage just now about getting it booked in to have the valves walnut blasted.

Alot of owners do report a difference, shame it has to be done so often.

Im going to get it done and see how bad it is the car has done 42k miles , if it needs done every 20K then its no big deal .

The car goes in on Monday to get the inlet removed and the valves walnut blasted , but wanted to do a few small jobs first.

Decided to buy the later gear knob decal to tie in with the steering wheel.

One thing that annoyed me with the engine bay is the colour of the throttle bodies and the side grills were starting to rust slightly, so yesterday I removed them all rubbed them down and gave a coat of Aluma Blast

My carbon side blades arrived today so fitted them up.
I’ve came up with two options for filling in the extra gap while I keep an eye out for a set of v10 1/4 trims.

Ideally I would have the mesh inset dimond lying the other way but it tapers off to much to allow this.

Fitment and quality of the blades I really can’t fault for the price.

Option A

Option B

I didn't tackle this job and really need a walnut blaster to do it properly, so got it done by DH Automotive

Its caused by a mix of them being direct injection so no fuel washing the back of the valve , combined with the crank case breather being recycled with no catch tank.

I’ve not picked the car up yet but I would like to think so as I’ve seen before and after rolling road results showing gains of 30/50bhp on the v8 , the v10 can loose double that.

After putting a few miles on the car since the carbon clean , I would say it seems to rev a bit freer , induction note is slightly different and power delivery is smoother.

Had it up at the Scottish supercar show at knockhill at the weekend , which was sadly a wash out. But there was some nice cars on show
